The Face of York

A York Learning city-wide project - led by Claire Douglas (with workshops delivered by Donna Maria Taylor and other York Learning tutors)

2015

The Face of York project conducted a visual census featuring over 500 A4 portraits of individuals associated with the city, both presently and historically.

These portraits were crafted by members of the public who engaged through various York Learning workshops, classes, and community gatherings across the city.

The culmination of these efforts was an exhibition at York Explore Library and York City Screen in 2015.
